This is the rare Baedeker reprint of the 1913 edition. It was issued after the outbreak of World War I.

The tipped-in notification slip reads, ' [that] this Baedeker is a special edition [facsimile] reprinting pp. 241-588 from the 29th edition of the Österreich-Ungarn Baedeker published in 1913. It includes Bohemia, Galicia, Dalmatia, Bosnia, Hungary, Siebenbürgen [region in Romania, now mainly Transylvania], Cetinje, Belgrade and Bucarest. It serves as a provisional addition to the new edition of 'Österreich' until a revised edition of the succession states becomes available.'
