With my love and gratitude Noel Coward 'In Which we Serve'' 1941/42'; 8vo (225 x 155 mm); photographic frontispiece of the author and a further 30 illustrations, the usual age-toning, marginal finger-soiling to pp 138 & 138, with small marginal stain to latter, otherwise near-fine; contemporary full maroon morocco by Henry T. Wood, London, all edges gilt, offsetting to endpapers, very mild stain to upper board, rubbed at extremities but in all, sound and wholly original with not restoration.

Some foxing to the pamphlet as usual, trace of creasing to the sleeve but an exceptional example.

Tipped in 4 autograph postcards signed to Sir Basil Bartlett (late 1970s to early 1980s) containing brief chat about foreign trips, and also 4 ALSs also to Bartlett, from Italy and Japan, on both work and holidays with John Gilpin (3 one page), the other 2 pages from Capri referring to the death of Noël Coward; one TLS on the headed notepaper of the Lindsay Kemp company (10 May 1977) about appearing in Salomé with Kemp at the Broadway Theatre in Maida Vale. Also tipped in 3 newspaper obituaries of Dolin and a flyer for the international gala at the Royal Opera House celebrating Dolin. Very good condition (repaired minor tears to dust jacket, corners and edges of binding/spine lightly bumped).
