Manuscript letter in French on blue card with signed envelope; small 8vo (9 x 11.6 cm); card headed with address '112 Boulevard Malesherbes [Paris]', signed 'Leon Bakst' and dated '16 Janvier 1914', with autograph envelope stamped and addressed to 'Miss Ella Hepworth Dixon. 6 St Jame's Terrace, Regents Park, London'; slight wear top of envelope but otherwise in very good condition

First edition; elephant folio (73.6 x 54 cm); title, dedication leaf, 4pp. of text, 10 plates with tissue guards on China paper with full margins by Cadolle lithographed by Deroy, Joly, Lemaitre, Fragonard, Renoux, Jacottet, Dupressoir and others, subscriber's list, text foxed, some spotting to plates; contemporary half red morocco and red boards, spine with gilt tooling, some wear to spine, corners bumped.

First edition; 4to (25 x 17 cm); title, half-title, 565pp., endpapers replaced, minor foxing; nineteenth-century quarter green morocco, spine with raised bands gilt ruled, initials 'A. K.' to lower part, neat repairs to spine, a good copy.

First edition; 5 parts in 1 vol; folio (54 x 42 cm); 62 chromolitgographic plates with tissue guards after Gagarin, Karpov, Timm, Zichy, F. Teichel, Viale, Zakharov and others, double-page map, plate of skulls, spotting, water stain to corner of preliminary pages; contemporary brown morocco with title to cover and spine rebacked retaining original spine, lightly rubbed.

First edition; 3 vols in one; frontispiece portrait, 100 colour plates, text in French and English, water stain effecting the latter plates, half dark green morocco, spine with gilt tooling and the title 'Russians and Turks', slightly worn; [bound with] Tableau générale de l'empire Othoman, Imprimerie de Monsieur, Paris, 1787, vol. I only, engraved title-page, dedication to King of Sweden, 41 plates, several folding, missing 3 plates (13,19 and 36).

Folio (30 x 23.5 cm); 40pp.; illustrated throughout (some full-page) by Viktor Zamirailo; original pictorial thick paper wrappers, some slight water damage to corners with tape repairs to a few pages otherwise a good copy.

First edition. Large 4to. [xxx] pp., 96 tipped-in plates. Original two tone cloth (white spine, blue boards), gilt lettered direct to spine; minor wear. A fine copy.

Folio (45 x 32 cm). 58, [2] pp., including lith. title, with 10 lith. tables and 20 chromolithographed plates; some plates' margins trimmed unevenly, corner of the last plate repaired. Modern green half morocco, spine preserving the original label.

Dadley after Georgi, each with accompanying text in English and French. Dark green crushed morrocco, covers with borders in gilt and blind, spine richly gilt in six compartments, with broad gilt dividers morrocco lettering-piece to second, all egdes gilt.
