A scarce collection of poems by Maria Moravskaia with wonderful illustrations by Sergey Chekhonin. Chekhonin, a master of the style had a predilection for floral motifs and animals, with this work combining the two in charming scenes. For example a poorly tiger is tucked up under an embroidered eiderdown with a flower arrangement next to his bedside.
