A fascinating record of the Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee procession, which included troops from all over the Empire. Several prints show the parade being paused for an open-air service of thanksgiving held outside St Paul's Cathedral, throughout which Victoria sat in her open carriage, due to her limited mobility by this point in her life.

Founded in 1854 by George C. Nottage, the London Stereoscopic and Photographic Company was one of the most successful photographic companies of the nineteenth century. Selling photographic equipment and producing immense quantities of images, over 100,000 topographical photographs were advertised alone in 1858. William England their chief photographer travelled extensively producing stereoscopic views, most famously of the American landscape in 1859. They also advertised the fact the they were sole photographers to the International Exhibition of 1862.
