The first work by Poujoulat, a French historian and journalist, translated into Russian and published 2 years later after the original in French. This fine copy of correspondence contains personal impressions on Italian architecture, history and customs. Title leaves are illustrated with Alfred D'Avignon's lithographs depicting the Basilica di Santa Maria del Fiore and Agrippa's Pantheon in Rome.
