An interesting association copy of the first American edition of Murphy by Samuel Beckett, with the contemporary gift inscription on the front free endpaper from the writer, night-club owner, Beat publishing editor and all-round far-out man Jay Landesman, to the poet Deborah Love who would later marry Peter Matthiessen.
