First UK edition of one of the most important plays of the twentieth century. Preceded by Beckett's original French version (En attendant Godot, 1952) and a New York edition in 1954, the present edition is the first to publish the play as performed in London in 1955, its English-language premiere, with the alterations to comply with censorship of British theatres.
