  1. 8vo (19 x 13.5 cm); xii, 296pp., frontispiece and numerous illustrations throughout, text in English, translated from Russian by B. C. Baskerville; original black cloth gilt, elaborate vignette in gilt to upper cover, spine slighty rubbed and cockled, a fine copy.

  2. Limited edition, one of 100 copies in a deluxe binding on handmade paper and signed in ink by the artist on the justification, this being number 87; folio (33 x 24 cm); 9 full-page pochoir illustrations, borders and vignettes after Masyutin; original half vellum, vignette in colour to the upper cover, an excellent example.

  3. Number 70 of 750 copies; 8vo; printed in red & black, colour illustrations by Paul Nash, some toning to endpapers; original red morocco, upper covers with onlays in black, red & cream designed by Paul Nash, spine a touch faded.

  4. First edition; large 4to (31.5 x 23 cm); 48 chromolithographs (including one frontispiece) and 105 in text illustrations after A. Zhaba, red edges, white moiré endpapers, slight staining to margins; original pictorial cloth binding with gilt detail, dog design to lower cover, spine with gilt title and peacock and spider design, upper cover a little faded and minor staining to spine, edges bumped, overall a very good copy.

  5. Limited edition, number 127 of 275 copies; 4to (255 x 190 mm, 10 x 7 1/2 in); frontispiece, title vignette, 9 illustrations in text in two or three colours plus tailpieces by Alexeieff, Preface by Prince D. Sviatopolk-Mirsky; later quarter vellum over black cloth boards, after the original, gilt title to spine and front cover, top edge gilt, others uncut some minor spotting, as usual, otherwise very good.

First edition, 3 vols; 8vo (21 x 15.5 cm); [1], 366pp. including title and half-title, [1] blank; [1] 493pp. including title and half-title, [1] blank; [1], 413pp. including title and half-title, [1] blank, minor stains in each volume, small ink inscriptions to verso of title-page and final leaves in vol.I; contemporary quarter brown morocco over marble boards, spine gilt lettered and ruled, some skilful restorations, morocco entry slipcase, a fine set.

  7. First edition; 4to (25 x 17 cm); title, half-title, 565pp., endpapers replaced, minor foxing; nineteenth-century quarter green morocco, spine with raised bands gilt ruled, initials 'A. K.' to lower part, neat repairs to spine, a good copy.

  8. First Russian edition; small 8vo (16 x 10.5 cm); five parts in 2 vols; all parts with own half-titles and titles; occasional spotting, light marginal waterstain to several ll. in V part. Contemporary brown calf, gilt spines, initials 'A.M.' in gilt to lower spines, gilt edges; upper cover of vol. one partly split, lower spine of vol.II slightly chipped, traces of removed exlibrises on upper pastedowns.

  9. 2 vols; 8vo (20.9 x 13.4 cm); 5 engraved plates, occasional spotting and offsetting from plates; contemporary quarter calf over marbled boards, green morocco labels to spine, compartments gilt ruled; minor restoration to spines; half-title, titles in Russian and French, engraved frontispiece, LXI, 245, [3] pp.; half-title, titles in Russian and French, 378, [3] pp., a copy copy.

  10. Twelve issues (XXVII to XXXVIII) in two parts (No. 95-96) in 1 vol. 8vo. 335 (including title), [1](table of contents); 288pp.; very occasional light spotting; contemporary calf-backed marble boards, flat spine lettered in gilt; extremities slightly rubbed.
