Edition de Luxe, number 386 of 1000 copies; 13 vols, royal 8vo; frontispieces, captioned tissue guards, profusely illustrated with colour plates and in-text illustrations, leaves slightly toned, inner hinges slightly loose but holding; contemporary red half morocco, gilt lettering and floral motifs to spine, some wear to extremities, marbled endpapers, top edges gilt, others uncut, an attractive set overall.

First edition (Italian text version); 14 vols bound in 18 [with] 4 supplementary volumes, 22 in total; large 4to; illustrated with 6 large folding maps, 1640 aquatint plates, of which 1517 are hand-coloured, various tables, etc., portrait of Francis I replaced with an emblematic portrait of 'Terra', occasional short closed tears (not affecting plates), scattered light foxing, plates slightly toned, 2 vols heavily toned; contemporary vellum-backed maroon boards, red and green morocco spine labels with gilt lettering, a very good set.

First edition; 2 vols, 8vo, (24.6 x 15.5 cm); 104 hand-coloured stipple engraved illustrations of fruit on 98 plates, including 7 folding, scattered light spotting, occasional offsetting, some plates trimmed by the binder (as usual); contemporary green morocco, blind and gilt embossed, all edges gilt, corners slightly rubbed, overall a very good copy of a scarce work; vii, [iv], 96; 104pp.

First edition, series 1, issues 1-6; oblong 4to (21 x 30.5 cm); 36 lithographs in colour by Charles Mozin, six in each part, margins slightly browned, very minor foxing; original printed green wrappers with thread ties, some wear, small tear to part VI, in a green cloth clamshell box, spine with gilt title, an excellent set.

First edition; 8vo; 20 hand-coloured aquatint plates by Charles Williams, some toning and slight offsetting to text ff., armorial bookplate to front pastedown; later full navy blue morocco ruled in gilt to covers and gilt compartments with decorations to spine, by Riviere & Sons, spine slightly rubbed and sunned, otherwise very good, gilt edges.

First edition, 2 parts, 48 livraisons in part I and 26 in part II ; folio (38 x 27 cm); 589 hand-coloured lithographic plates with printed captions and some with publisher's blind stamp, one lithographic dedication, 3pp. letterpress content biofolium for part I, with annotations annotated, tape marks and leaves detached, plates tipped in as issued, except 5 plates in part I which are from a later issue, captions mostly in French or in French and German (as in the sections for the Swedish, Swiss and French armies), plates for the Austrian Army are heightened with gum arabic, plates are in excellent condition overall, a few with tape repairs, one foxed and a few with marginal tears; each livraison in the original grey printed wrappers, of a few different designs, with the text in French or German, numbered in ink manuscript (extremities rubbed, creased and with short nicks and tears, about one-third with splits to joints, some almost detached, livraison 25 of part 2 with crude tape repairs to joints, part I contained in the original portfolio with printed paper-covered sides, green silk ties (extremities rubbed, a couple of short splits to joints); with a near contemporary metal box used to house at least part of the set, a fine example.

First edition; large 4to (34.5 x 28 cm); 2pp. subscriber's lists, 48 hand-coloured plates (44 aquatint views by Havell, Stadler, Bluck and others after Westall, Mackenzie, Pugin and others, 4 stipple and line engraved costume plates), some slight offsetting, green silk endpapers, a.e.g.; finely bound in orange morocco, doublures with green silk, boards gilt ruled with floral detail to corners, spine in six parts with raised bands, a little faded, gilt title and tooling, an excellent copy.

Pletnev, 25 hand-coloured full-page lithographs by Ulyanov including a frontispiece, plates on various colour paper, minor staining to text block, title foxed; original hand-coloured lithographic boards dated 1848, spine skilfully rebacked, retaining most of the original design, some wear to boards but overall good copy.
