Small 4to. Folding double-page woodcut planisphere, text to verso, 2 globe diagrams, 3 tables in the text, decorative initial letters throughout. Fine french polished morocco, spine lettered in gilt, fine doublures, signed 'Atelier Laurenchet', with matching slipcase, a.e.g. Closed tear expertly repaired to first & last leaf, very occasional faded marginalia in a neat early hand. Second edition in Italian, 4to., [16], 624pp., engraved portrait frontispiece and seven other plates, contemporary vellum, a very good copy.
