Schliemann's Excavations: an Archaeological and Historical Study (1891), half-title, 2 portraits, 4 plates, one folding, and 7 maps & plans, 4 folding. One or two leaves browned, occasional foxing, old library label to front pastedowns, uniform later half turquoise morocco, spines gilt in compartments, top edges gilt, a fine set.

First English edition, 2 vols, 4to, xlii, 402; [iv], 398, [xviiii] pp., folding engraved map by Senex (not present in the French edition) and 152 engraved plates & maps, 6 folding, folding map and one or two folding plates neatly laid down on linen, vol.1 with title creased and map of Thermia stained in lower margin, vol.2 lightly water-stained towards end, later half tan morocco, by Zaehnsdorf, spines ruled in gilt with raised bands and green morocco labels, t.e.g., light wear, a very good set.

First edition. 2 vols, 8vo, xxii, [ii], 399, [iii]; xiv, [ii], 437 pp., 20 engraved plates by Lizars after drawings by the author, contemporary polished calf gilt, chip to lower spine vol i, lacking 3 labels, marbled edges, offsetting from plates to text, light browning to some plates, joints cracked but firm, a good set.

  8. First edition. 8vo, xxiv, 267, [iii] (directions to binder & errata) pp., 12 lithographed plates and maps, original boards, uncut, paper label to spine, with Errata/Directions to the Binder leaf at end, two preliminary leaves misbound, spine renewed, a very good copy.

First editions. 2 volumes, 4to, xxii, viii, 615; xxi, [iii], 603, 8 pp., first work with 14 engraved plates including the 4 folding plates that form a panorama of Athens, second work with 13 engraved plates and an engraved vignette, uniform contemporary dark blue half morocco gilt, light foxing, a handsomely bound set.
