Silver gelatin print of Churchill seated, half-length, looking into the camera, mounted on plain card, signed on the mount, 'Winston S. Churchill 1948', the photographer's stamp on the reverse; framed and glazed (framed size 400 x 340 mm), toning to mount (as usual), otherwise near-fine.

First edition, first impression, inscribed to Paul Gallico, 8vo; publisher's dark grey cloth, spine lettered in silver, front cover with knife motif stamped in blind and silver, dust-jacket by Richard Chopping; red endpapers, top edge severely browned (as with several of Gallico's Bond books) and with some leed to upper margin of some leaves, but otherwise a very decent copy in the little worn dust jacket.

First edition. 3 volumes, folio (66 x 52 cm), [viii]; [viii]; [viii] pp., with 200 lithographed plates, 130 in colour, 48 tinted (all mounted on tabs) some light scattered foxing throughout, text volume with 34 plates and 73 text illustrations; bound in contemporary brown morocco backed marbled boards, spine gilt lettered with raised bands; overall a very attractive example.

First edition, 3 vols (incl. supplement), 8vo (24 x 16 cm) with an autograph letter signed by the author (3pp), presentation note from W.H. Mullens (author of A bibliography of British ornithology) to Thomas Parkin, 169 hand-coloured lithographed plates, bookplate, marbled endpapers; some slight foxing and marking to some plates but mainly to the verso and few preliminary pages; contemporary half black morocco, marbled boards; spine lavishly gilt decorated and lettered; a fine example.

First edition, inscribed by the author: 'Please accept this dear David not merely as a souvenir of something that is past but as a talisman for the future. With my love and gratitude Noel Coward 'In Which we Serve'' 1941/42'; 8vo (225 x 155 mm); photographic frontispiece of the author and a further 30 illustrations, the usual age-toning, marginal finger-soiling to pp 138 & 138, with small marginal stain to latter, otherwise near-fine; contemporary full maroon morocco by Henry T. Wood, London, all edges gilt, offsetting to endpapers, very mild stain to upper board, rubbed at extremities but in all, sound and wholly original with not restoration.

First edition, first printing; 8vo; single quire, wire-stitched in white card, Haring designed wrappers printed in black. Unpaginated series of illustrations by Haring. Very light tide mark at the spine fold, but a particularly crisp copy of a book much given to discolouration.

First edition, folio (41.5 x 31.5 cm), xxi, [iii]] pp., introduction by Hilaire Belloc, some spotting to text pages; illustrated with 20 hand-pulled warm-toned gravures from plates prepared by Coburn and printed under his supervision at the Ballantyne Press, mounted on grey card; contemporaryl green morocco-backed grey boards gilt lettered, spine worn, extremities worn.

Vols III-IV first editions, vols I-II reprinted; 4 vols, large 8vo; plates, maps and illustrations; full dark blue crushed morocco gilt by Sangorski & Sutcliffe (signed on turn-ins), spines tooled in gilt with raised bands, top edge gilt, a few small, minor and marks to covers, preserved in original card slipcases (one split).

Film edition, sole impression, one of 25 numbered copies specially bound and signed by the key members of the cast and production; 8vo; publisher's burgundy morocco, single rule to boards gilt, titles to spine gilt, all edges gilt, marbled endpapers, slipcase.
