Second Amsterdam edition. Folio (35 x 22 cm). Title, [6], 472, [12] pp. index and instructions to binder, with engraved allegorical title after B. Picart, engraved portrait plate, 11 folding, 55 double-page and 40 full-page engraved plates with 260 numbered subjects and 36 engravings in text; neat marginal repair to portrait. Early twentieth century half morocco over marbled boards, flat spine ruled and lettered in gilt; rubbed, upper spine slightly chipped.

Limited edition: number 33 of 500 copies; folio (39 x 29 cm). Suite of 50 colour plates with 'Croquis de route et notes de voyages' in a separate volume. Original card folder; some light soiling and spotting.

First edition, 8vo, xii, 216 pp., modern diced half calf gilt, occasional light foxing, a few very feint old blind-stamps, an excellent example.

2 vols; 8vo (20.8 x 12.5 cm). xvi, 442; vi, 554 pp., 2 large folding engraved maps ('Petersburg to Ispahan and from Petersburg to Constantinople' and 'Moscow to Pekin'. Contemporary full tree calf, spine gilt, red and green leather labels; light wear to extremities.

First English edition. 3 parts in 1, folio [38], 291, [3], 108, 105-200, [2], 93, [1], 91-114, [4]pp., with an engraved portrait frontispiece and 3 engraved plates, each part with separate title-page,contemporary panelled calf, rebacked and recornered with new endpapers by Zaehnsdorf (1958), preserving old lettering piece, an excellent copy.

With 85 engravings on 64 sheets (9 folding), including portrait of Chardin, 18 sheets with double-illustrations and 1 sheet with 4, with additional large folding map of Asia with outline coloured by hand by P. Lapie, 1810, engraved by Blondeau, all protected with original tissue guards. Recent half-calf over marbled boards.

Folio. With 85 engravings on 64 sheets (9 folding), including 1 map, portrait of Chardin, 18 sheets with double-illustrations and 1 sheet with 4; light waterstain on lower margin of several leaves. Near contemporary half polished calf over marbled boards; a bit rubbed.
