  2. First edition, first impression, first issue dust-jacket without the Sunday Times review on the upper flap; 8vo. Publisher's black boards, heart device to upper board and titles to spine in red. With the dust jacket. Contemporary gift inscription to front free endpaper, spine just a touch rolled but a particularly bright copy in the internally repaired dust jacket, nicked at the edges and with some minor restoration at the top of the spine panel and a couple of corners.

First edition; 8vo; monochrome portrait frontispiece signed by Vivien Leigh and Laurence Olivier, numerous monochrome plates from photographs, mild peripheral spotting to preliminary and terminal leaves, mostly to the plain endpapers; publisher's maroon cloth, slight dust-soiling, pictorial dust-jacket, chipped and creased at extremities, three short, closed tears but in the main, a rare survival.

First edition, first issue with text-block printed on heavier stock and in paler red cloth with blind rule to covers; 8vo; vorticistic title vignette and tail-piece, foxing to terminal leaves and extremities of text block; publisher's light red cloth, very good, printed dust-jacket with some minor marking, toning to spine, a few tears and chips to extremities.

First edition, 4to (276 x 224 mm); contemporary marbled calf, rebacked to style with red morocco label, endpapers renewed. housed in a custom dark red cloth flat-back box, bookplate of the banker Thomas Coutts, 'Strand, London' to front pastedown, extremities worn, a couple of small nicks to boards, the very occasional faint mark or spot to contents, tiny nick to top edge of K4, else a notably bright, clean copy.

First edition; 12m; half-title with advertisement for the Dumpy Books series on verso, 27 full-page colour illustrations after the author printed by Edmund Evans, usual minor finger-marking and occasional light soiling to leaves, overall internally very good; publisher's pale green cloth lettered and blocked in darker green, a little light rubbing and marking but an attractive copy, scarce to find in such condition.

Late green marbled and morocco boards with spine elaborately gilt, divided to 6 compartments. Three titles, iv, 282 pp. with some blanks in the begging and at the end of the book. A fine copy.
