Russian army rare books

First edition, oblong folio (39 x 53 cm); title-page in Cyrillic, ten chromolithographs loose as issued with captions in Russian and French, in good condition; in the original publisher's red cloth portfolio, without the ties, silver gilt title in French to upper cover.

Landscape folio (40 x 54 cm); title-page with portrait of the artist and 24 lithographs mounted on thick paper, bound with a further 28 plates from a later work, some minor stains but overall very clean, marbled endpapers, a.e.g.; contemporary red morocco gilt, with gilt lettering to upper cover, edges rubbed and corners bumped.

Folio (37.6 x 28.5 cm); title, colour title, 72, [2] pp. 8 colour plates tipped-in on thicker board including two portraits, 7 black and white plates, some half-page, with many illustrations in text; one plate loose. Original publisher's cloth, double-headed eagle centrepiece to upper cover, spine lettered in gilt; rubbed at extremities, ends of spine chipped, some spotting to upper cover.

Limited edition, no. 122 of 250 copies out of a total edition of 500; tall 8vo (27 x 18.5 cm); 87 pp., with 3 plates and tipped-in illustrations. Original wrappers.

Four hand-coloured lithographs mounted with gilt border, with titles and captions in German (50 x 40 cm mounted).

Folio (42 x 34 cm). Decorated title page, IX, 41 plates with colour illustrations tipped in, each plate with a printed sheet of text. Publisher's cloth folder with decorative colour embossing on upper board; slightly spotted.

Oil on canvas. Framed (105.5 x 82 cm).

Gouache, watercolour, metallic inks, and brown ink on vellum, 37 x 47 cm, text signed by Georgiy Vuich, dated 25 December, 1931, signature of the artist Boris Zworykin in lower right corner; central fold, some loss of paint in upper margin.

4to, issue 1 (all published). 128 pp., with numerous photographic plates and maps. Fine example in the original printed and decorated wrappers.

First edition; two parts in 1 vol; folio (43 x 29 cm). Frontispiece, title, pp. [12], 196; title, pp. 244, [2], with 41 engraved plans and maps, most double page, including large folding map of Paris; tear to corner of one leaf without affecting the text. Contemporary red morocco gilt, gilt monogram to covers, spine in seven compartments, green morocco label to second, others richly gilt, raised bands, all edges gilt.
