First edition. Folio (54.5 x 39 cm), iv, [viii], 33, [i] pp., 61 engraved plates on 54 sheets, many double-page or folding by Bartolozzi, Zucchi, and others , subscription list, contemporary calf gilt, occasional light spotting, rebacked, corners repaired, boards rubbed, a very good example.

Small 4to, [12], 20, [4], 21-980, [4] pp., couple of pages of the Epistle dedicatory with ink splashes (causing minor loss of text), light old browning pages 940-957, pages 951 - 976 intermittently shaved close at head, last leaf with small repairs to inner margin (not affecting text), modern contemporary style blind-stamped calf by Bernard Middleton, overall this is a very pleasing example which opens well throughout, an excellent copy.

5 vols, large 8vo, titles in red and black with coloured vignette, 129 engraved plates, maps, etc. after Thomas Allom, 127 illustrations in the text, some foxing or staining to titles and plates, very handsome contemporary gren half morocco gilt in the style of Lewis, a very handsome set.

40 volumes, quarto, complete run of the first of 39 volumes plus the special atlas to accompany volumes 29 & 30, all first editions save the first two volumes which are later reprints, profusely illustrated with photographic illustrations and maps, original blue cloth gilt, some spines a little faded, overall an excellent run.

Mixed editions (complete), vol. I third, vol. II second & vol. III first; 3 vols, folio (410 x 300mm); engraved title-pages in red black, photographic frontispieces and numerous black & white illustrations, small nick to edges of first few leaves to vol. I and base of p. 314 in vol. III, toning to endpapers, otherwise a near-fine internally; publisher's blue cloth gilt, rubbed and bumped at extremities, usual slight bowing to boards due to weight of text blocks, upper hinge (inside) of vols I & III split but firm, in all, very good.

First edition; 8vo; 1p. advertisement, ink name and small stamp to preliminary pages; contemporary brown cloth, original printed title label to upper cover, hinges reinforced.

Second edition. 4to (28 x 22 cm). 32 leaves of engraved aquatint plates and plans, plate 19 with a marginal repair, plate 27 with a marginal stain, bookplate; bound in twentieth century calf backed marbled boards. spine worn, red label, gilt lettered; a good copy; 28pp

Second edition. 2 volumes, folio (42 x 28 cm), viii, 1-712; [xii], 713-1410 pp., engraved allegorical headpiece and 124 engraved plates and plans (the 122 called for in Adams plus St Luke's Hospital and Trinity Alms Houses at page 1288), some folding, oversize corners folded at page 1304 and plate of Guy's Hospital, small ink stains page 893, contemporary sprinkled calf gilt, neat repairs to joints, 2 labels renewed, a very attractive example.

2 vols, 12mo (185 x 115 mm); engraved frontispiece to each vol. and a further 11 plates including 2 folding, mild, marginal corner creases to some leaves, small pinholes to lower corner of p. 156 and one corner chipped to p. 38 in vol. i, printer's error omits pagination of pp. 265 - 268 in vol. ii but text still complete, all in all exceptionally clean and bright; modern half calf over marbled boards gilt, lettering pieces to spines, most attractive; x, [2], 237, [1]; [6], 299, [1] pp.

First edition; large 4to (34.5 x 28 cm); 2pp. subscriber's lists, 48 hand-coloured plates (44 aquatint views by Havell, Stadler, Bluck and others after Westall, Mackenzie, Pugin and others, 4 stipple and line engraved costume plates), some slight offsetting, green silk endpapers, a.e.g.; finely bound in orange morocco, doublures with green silk, boards gilt ruled with floral detail to corners, spine in six parts with raised bands, a little faded, gilt title and tooling, an excellent copy.
