First edition, one of 1000 copies; small crown 8vo; 4 full-page woodcuts by Vanessa Bell, none of the usual offsetting to woodcuts and browning to free endpapers; white paper boards printed in black with a design by Bell, brown cloth spine, edges lightly rubbed, an exceptionally clean and tight copy of this scarce item.

Number 234 of a limited edition of 500 copies, signed by Thomson; 4to (290 x 235 mm); 40 tipped-in colour plates with captioned tissue-guards, some light peripheral spotting, mostly to endpapers; publisher's full vellum gilt, silk ties, discolouraton to spine from glue reaction (as is common), upper board slightly bowed, otherwise very good.

Limited edition, number 649 of 750 copies signed by the artist; large 4to (320 x 260 mm); 20 tipped-in colour plates, very mild peripheral spotting to first and last few leaves, thereafter the odd, random spot; publisher's decorative vellum, top edge gilt, others untrimmed, replaced silk ties, slight darkening to spine, very mild dust-soing and slight bowing to baords (as usual), otherwise a very good copy of this beautiful edition.

First Thomson limited edition, number 92 of 350 copies signed by the illustrator; 4to; 25 tipped-in colour plates, within engraved and captioned decorative borders, vignette illustrations within text, notice of exhibition of the original water-colour drawings, loosely inserted, closed tear to front free endpaper, otherwise internally fine, publisher's full vellum gilt, top edge gilt and others untrimmed, original ribbon-ties, slightly toned and rubbed on corners, else fine.

First edition, 8vo; presentation copy, inscribed in ink on the front free endpaper to a famous French cartoonist, 'Jean Effel with love and best wishes from the Searle family', the inscription embellished with a small flower and a St. Trinians schoolgirl head with hat and pigtails; original cloth, pictorial dust jacket by Searle, jacket with red stain to tail of spine caused by now absent label, nicked and torn around the edges with some small loss.

Number 95 of 650 copies signed by the artist and the engraver; portfolio (360 x 275 mm); title printed in red & black, 8 mounted rice paper plates window-mounted and with captioned tissue guards, foxing to two plates, some creasing to the plate margins due to shrinkage, but rendered invisible by the window mounts; loose as issued in publisher's terracotta & green cloth decorated in gilt, light contemporary gift inscription to inside front cover, overall a very good example.
