12 vols, 8vo (200 x 150 mm); illustrated with full-page colour plates by H.M. Brock, mild offsetting from plate tissue guards to some title-pages, a little more pronounced to vol. I of Pride and Prejudice, otherwise internally fine; bound by Whitman Bennett, N.Y. in half blue morocco gilt over marbled boards, with matching endpapers, top edge gilt, others untrimmed (as published), minor rubbing to extremities and some corners innocuously chipped, spines uniformly faded to green, otherwise a very good.

First edition, first impression; 8vo; 8 black and white illustrated plates, including portrait frontispiece of Rossetti, scattered marginal foxing; publisher's maroon cloth, titles to spine gilt, some spotting to edges, endpapers slightly toned, with the printed dust jacket, light soiling and staining to jacket, particularly to spine and back panel, a few small closed tears to edges of front and back panels.

First illustrated edition, first issue (advertisements dated 1895); 8vo; pictorial half-title, title-page, illustrations and decorations throughout by Charles Robinson,aa few random spots but unusually clean; publisher's dark green cloth pictorially stamped and lettered in gilt, gilt edges, bumped and nicked on corners and spine-ends, a few minor mark but otherwise very good.

First omnibus edition; 8vo (223 x 160 mm); colour double-title-page and black & white illustrations within the text, by David Barnett; publisher's pink boards, colour illustrated dust-jacket, price-clipped, minor soiling, creasing to upper edge, a few spots to edges (of text block), otherwise very good and internally fine.

First edition thus; 4to (280 x 230 mm); fifty mounted coloured plates with captioned tissue-guards including tipped-in frontispiece (lacking one tissue-guard to illustration opposite p. 38), a further seven black & white plates and 12 black & white illustrations within text, neat gift inscription to blank second front, free endpaper, slight toning to margins of text leaves, else very good; publisher's green cloth gilt, faded and worn, more so to the spine, mild mottling to endpapers, printed dust-jacket, spine darkened, lightly dust-soiled and chipped with losses to spine extremities but otherwise sound.

16mo; inscribed on half-title and front and rear endpapers by Annie Maria Harris née Armitt; colour illustrations throughout, one leaf with vertical crease to right-hand side; publisher's green boards with inset rectangular panel to upper cover, pictorial endpapers, front free endpaper rubbed with slight surface loss to fore-margin, spine faded.

Limited edition, number 8 of 1,000 copies, signed by the Thomson; 4to, (320 x 265 mm); 22 colour plates with engraved and captioned tissue-guards, further engraved illustrations and vignettes throughout, toning to extremities, otherwise fine; publisher's cream vellum, heavily gilt panelled and blocked to upper cover and spine, top edge gilt, others untrimmed, a little rubbed and bumped to extremities, otherwise near fine.

[Text in Greek] First edition, 9 parts in one vol, 4to; title and praefatio in Latin, half-title, index, scattered light foxing; contemporary red morocco gilt, raised bands, gilt stamps to boards, all edges gilt, a fine copy; [6], 1073, [3]pp.

17 vols in 13, 4to (250 x 190 mm); wood-engraved plates and illustrations by Barnard, 'Phiz' and others, historiated capital to the first word of each chapter, occasional foxing but in the main confined to some preliminary and terminal leaves and then mostly to some endpapers, in the main, clean and bright; near-contemporary half calf, gilt panelled spines with red and brown morocco labels, very minor rubbing, otherwise near-fine.

First edition, first printing. One of the 93 special copies signed by the author and artist. (There were copies hand-coloured and a further 140 unsigned copies) Publisher's natural linen, black leather title label to spine gilt, and a further one depicting the bee. Bookplate to front paste down with a little 'bleed' from the adhesive, trace of erasure to the front free endpaper but an excellent copy of a particularly handsome book.
