Almost a century has passed since Russian impresario Serge Diaghilev founded the famed Ballets Russes, bringing together the most brilliant artists of his time from Bakst to Picasso to construct a backdrop to performances unlike any Paris had ever seen before.

Our list including programmes, illustrated books and ephemera  tells the story of  the company who dragged ballet out of the 19th century and launched it, kicking and screaming (literally!), into the 20th.
