Limited edition, one of 25 deluxe large paper copies; 4to; printed in green, red and black, illustrations by Charles Ricketts, some minor spotting to extremities and frontispiece tissue-guard, otherwise very good; publisher's decorative vellum gilt, signed by CR (Charles Ricketts) and HL (Henry Leighton, binder), original cloth ties (lightly spotted), uncut edges, covers a little bowed, spine a little darkened, otherwise, also very good; preserved in a custom-made cardboard slip-case.

First edition thus; 4to (280 x 230 mm); fifty mounted coloured plates with captioned tissue-guards including tipped-in frontispiece (lacking one tissue-guard to illustration opposite p. 38), a further seven black & white plates and 12 black & white illustrations within text, neat gift inscription to blank second front, free endpaper, slight toning to margins of text leaves, else very good; publisher's green cloth gilt, faded and worn, more so to the spine, mild mottling to endpapers, printed dust-jacket, spine darkened, lightly dust-soiled and chipped with losses to spine extremities but otherwise sound.

8vo (210 x 140 mm); frontispiece portrait of the author 'from the painting by Toulouse-Lautrec, 1895'; contemporary full purple calf by Bayntun-Riviere, with double gilt panels, floral hand-tooled spine, gilt dentelles, marbled endpapers and all edges gilt, spine and top edges of upper board faded, a few minor scuffs to boards, otherwise very handsome and internally fine.

First edition, sole impression, one of 200 copies on 'small paper', from an overall limitation of 225; small 4to (220 x 170 mm); printed in black, green & sepia on Arnold's handmade paper, some with the Vale Press watermark, pictorial title-page and 9 full-page illustrations in sepia, decorative initials printed in green, all by Charles Ricketts, original vellum with gilt designs by Ricketts to covers and spine. Housed in a quarter morocco slipcase. Rockwell Kent designed bookplate to front paste down, very light spotting to some pages, boards a little bowed as usual, gilt to spine rather dull. Very good.

First collected edition; 14 volumes, 8vo; one of 80 sets printed on Japanese papier velin; publisher's cream vellum, gilt decorative devices to front panels by Charles Ricketts, yapp edges, top edges gilt, 13 volumes have the imprint of Methuen & Co., and one, The Picture of Dorian Gray, has the imprint of Charles Carrington, Paris (as called for), usual mild wrinkling to most paste-downs, covers mildly toned, some volumes with minor glue reaction (both points usual with vellum bindings), otherwise exceptionally fine internally and externally. [Together with], For Love of the King: A Burmese Masque. Methuen issued this work in 1922, intending it to be a supplementary volume to the above set but never issued in vellum; printed on hand-made paper and limited to 1000 copies only; publisher's cream cloth, browning to spine and edges, dust-jacket with some expert archival repairs to the interior of the folds, Ex-libris Frederick Spiegelberg (name plate on front paste-down) as well as Gertrude & Edward A. Strauss (bookplate on front paste-down), previous bookseller's label on rear paste-down, a very good copy.
