Artist's name etched in black at bottom right of etching, with his Hebrew name underneath (Haim Aaron ben David); etching glued on a white background with Theodor Herzl's own signature in pencil at the bottom right; at the bottom left of the picture is a star of David with Hermann Struck's initials in it, to its right is his signature in pencil. Very good condition.

Ownership signatures to title page and many marginal notes to text in Latin in old brown ink; late 19th-century cloth-backed marbled boards, with red morocco label to spine, this lettered in gilt, corners rubbed.
