First English edition. 4to, [12], 335, [9]pp., title in red and black, without 'Directions to Binder' leaf at end of preliminaries, 37 engraved maps, plans and plates, 18 folding, light browning to text, some old stains and marks to title,, mostly marginal, a few rust spots (one to Nn4 causing small hole and loss of letter), contemporary panelled calf, morocco lettering piece, short splits to joints, light wear head of spine, an attractive copy.
