The Duab of Turkestan.

The 'Duab' is a stretch of land between the Rivers Oxus and Jakartes. The author spent twenty years on and off in Turkestan and this detailed volume is a treatise on physical geography based on his observations during his journeys. There are chapters on the ascents of the Mountains of Kemkutan and the Great Achik.
