First edition, 4to (36 x 30 cm); [1], 27 pp., 12 hand-coloured aquatint plates including frontispiece, all numbered and captioned, original publisher's label pasted in at rear, untrimmed pages; contemporary half dark green morocco gilt, light green boards, spine gilt lettered and decorated in compartments, raised bands; slightly worn at edges, faded to brown, a fine example.

First edition (Italian text version); 14 vols bound in 18 [with] 4 supplementary volumes, 22 in total; large 4to; illustrated with 6 large folding maps, 1640 aquatint plates, of which 1517 are hand-coloured, various tables, etc., portrait of Francis I replaced with an emblematic portrait of 'Terra', occasional short closed tears (not affecting plates), scattered light foxing, plates slightly toned, 2 vols heavily toned; contemporary vellum-backed maroon boards, red and green morocco spine labels with gilt lettering, a very good set.

First edition; 8vo; 20 hand-coloured aquatint plates by Charles Williams, some toning and slight offsetting to text ff., armorial bookplate to front pastedown; later full navy blue morocco ruled in gilt to covers and gilt compartments with decorations to spine, by Riviere & Sons, spine slightly rubbed and sunned, otherwise very good, gilt edges.

First edition. 8 volumes bound in 4, 4to, with an aquatint dedication and 308 hand-coloured aquatint plates by and after Daniell bound at rear of volumes, the deluxe issue with all the plates mounted on card, with the frequently missing large folding engraved index map (strengthened to verso), occasional spotting (chiefly marginal), a few plates a little toned, some offsetting from plates to next plate versos, contemporary green half morocco gilt, bound as usual without the uncoloured engraved plate of Kemaes Head Pembrokeshire, an excellent set.
