First boxed edition; 2 vols (volume one: first edition, fourth impression; volume 2: first edition, first impression), 8vo; volume 2 inscribed by the author to 'Ina'; both vols illustrated with black-and-white plates including portrait frontispieces, map endpapers, family tree in vol one; publisher's pale grey cloth, gilt lettering to spines, original unclipped dust jackets (priced £3), both with light sunning; presented in slightly soiled pictorial pale blue paper-covered slipcase; a bright, clean set.

First edition, vol I signed on the front prelim: 'From Winston Churchill/ July 24 1924'; 2 vols, 8vo; frontispieces, 16 plates, one folding, occasional spotting to vol. I but in the main, clean and bright; lavish twentieth century full black morocco for Asprey, gilt-panelled and bordered with Churchillian devices to front and rear boards as well as the ribbed spins, silk doublures within twin-panelled dentelles, all edges gilt, a fine set.

First edition; 2 vols, 8vo; frontispieces, 16 plates, one folding; publisher's rich red cloth, blocked in gilt & blind, spines very very slightly sunned, minor bumping to lower fore-corners but overall a near fine set.

First editions, inscribed presentation copies to Sir John Gielgud. 8vo, publisher's brown cloth, dust-wrappers, minor dust-soiling, worm holes on fold of both upper panels, tiny stain to hear of upper panel of first and large stain and a couple of chips to head of second, internally fine.
