First edition. 2 vols, 8vo, 8vo, viii, 504; viii, 508 pp., inscribed 'from the author' on half-title, folding map, and 10 plates and plans, several folding, original cloth-backed boards, uncut, lower joints split, spines faded, boards lightly marked, some pencil annotations, very neatly rebacked preserving all the spines and paper labels, a very good copy.

First edition. 8vo, xxiv, 267, [iii] (directions to binder & errata) pp., 12 lithographed plates and maps, original boards, uncut, paper label to spine, with Errata/Directions to the Binder leaf at end, two preliminary leaves misbound, spine renewed, a very good copy.

Second edition, 2 volumes, 8vo, xxviii, 517; viii, 491 pp., 2 hand-coloured aquatint frontispieces, folding lithograph of Constantinople, folding lithograph of relics, contemporary green half calf gilt, couple of spots to frontispiece, small area of paper restoration to last page vol. I outside text, a good set.

First edition, folio (41 x 29.5 cm), pp 9-30, [2] publisher's list, 6 hand-coloured aquatint plates including frontispiece by G. Hunt after Davenport, all captioned, uncut in original brown boards, original lettering label to upper copy, neatly rebacked, light marks to boards, an excellent example.

First (only) edition, 8vo (19.6 x 12 cm). 300 pp., uncut in original cloth-backed boards, paper label to spine. Folding facsimile plate present but lacking frontispiece map (as often), browned throughout.

Folio (46.5 x 34 cm), 24 hand-coloured lithographed plates and 2 monochrome proof plates on india paper, colour plates captioned in French and English, all portraits dated 1827, contemporary green polished half calf over marbled boards, red morocco lettering piece, upper cover with green morocco lettering panel, 1 plate (Madon) with short marginal tear, rather worn and rubbed.

First edition. Folio (58 x 43.5 cm), lithographed title (a little paper adhesion) and 39 tinted lithographs by J.B. Kuhn after von Hess, within decorative sepia borders with captions in Greek, French, German and English, later cloth preserving original upper cloth cover.
