First edition; 8vo (215 x 150 mm, 8 1/2 x 6 in); 7 plates, plate 6 detached and loosely inserted, some spotting and browning, owner's inscription in ink to front free endpaper, small unobtrusive tear to top of front hinge; publisher's cloth, extremities bumped with some discolouration to spine and boards.

First edition; 8vo; slight age-toning to the paper with occasional, very light foxing, heavier to the title-page and page opposite, a small stain to the fore-edge; modern black half-morocco ruled in gilt, red morocco spine labels lettered in gilt.

First edition; 8vo; 7 plates, contemporary gift inscription to front free endpaper; publisher's cloth, some darkening but overall very good.

First edition, first printing, signed by the author on front free endpaper; 8vo; mild toning to text block extremities; publisher's cloth, a fine, sharp copy, with two variant dust-jackets, both priced $3 and with jacket artwork by Ronald Clyne, but with variant portraits of the author, one with superficial damage to lower panel, otherwise both very good.

First edition, first printing; 8vo; frontispiece by Edward Gorey; original cloth, dust-jacket with artwork by Gorey, small closed tear near upper fore-edge of upper panel, very slightly toned along top edge, but overall a very good copy.

First edition in book form; 8vo; one spot to first three leaves, else fine; publisher's maroon cloth gilt, spine faded and ends bumped, corners rubbed, offsetting to both free endpapers and near contemporary ink ownership to front free one, otherwise very good.

First English edition, first impression; 8vo; foxing to preliminary/terminal leaves and the extremities of the text-block, 2 small ownership stamps to front free endpaper; publisher's black cloth lettered in red to spine, dust-jacket by E. McKnight Kauffer, some gentle rubbing to extremities, small closed tear to one corner, a little very minor discolouration inplaces, but overall an excellent, unsophisticated example.

First American edition, first printing, signed presentation copy from the author; 8vo; light spotting to extremities of text-block; publisher's cloth-backed boards, dust-jacket with artwork by Alexander Farquharson, light rubbing to spine ends and corners, but overall a fine example.

First edition; 8vo; publisher's sage green cloth blocked in black, a little minor mottling, but overall very good.

First edition, number 86 of 250 copies signed by the author/illustrator; oblong 8vo (130 x 180 mm.); full-page illustrations by Gorey with captions on the verso, publisher' s pictorial boards, in matching pictorial dust-jacket, original burgundy slip-case, an excellent copy.
