Octavo. Original vertical-ribbed green cloth, gilt-lettered spine, gilt vignette to front board. Housed in a custom blue cloth slipcase. Entirely unopened.

Small octavo. Original red cloth, spine and front board lettered in gilt, front board elaborately decorated in black and rear board in blind. With 2 pieces of note paper laid-in, the first a hand-coloured map, the second with 1 page of handwriting and the verso a map sketch in pencil.

First edition, first printing; 8vo; previous owner's initials to front free endpaper, last leaf with chip to fore-edge from clumsy opening presumably at time of publication, overall internally fine; publisher's grey cloth, slightly sunned at spine ends and corner tips, dust-jacket by Fred Uhlman, slight wear to fore-corners of front panel and spine ends, overall a very good, bright example.
