A superb collection of early 20th century albumen photographs of the Ford Factory, Windsor, Ontario showing the various production processes as well as images of the range of Ford vehicles, mostly in use by their drivers on streets, farms and fields. Fully itemised list available on request.

Ford Motor Company of Canada Ltd. (Ford du Canada Limitée) was founded in 1904, manufacturing and selling Ford automobiles in Canada and the British Empire. It was originally known as the Walkerville Wagon Works, and was located in Walkerville, Ontario (now part of Windsor, Ontario). The founder, Gordon McGregor, convinced a group of investors to invest in Henry Ford's new automobile, which was being produced across the river in Detroit.

The Model C, the first car to be produced in Canada, rolled out of the factory in late September 1904. The Company could produce two cars at a time and in its first full of production it was able to produce 117 automobiles. The Company's first export sales were to Calcutta, India. This album, presented to a Dr. Paige in 1925 shows the factory as a highly automated, state of the art, mass-producer. The third photograph shows Henry Ford and his son in front of a 'Fordson' tractor, which they designed and launched in 1917. The Fordson Model F was not the first ever tractor but is was the first lightweight, affordable tractor and revolutionised farming in the same way as the Model T Ford motorcar revolutionised road transport.
