First edition; 4to (260 x 190 mm, 10 x 7 1/2 in); half-title signed by seven former Colditz prisoners of war, numerous colour and black & white portraits and illustrations; publisher's black cloth, gilt lettering, boards slightly bowed, small chip to long side of upper one, otherwise a very good and internally fine.

Typescript with autograph annotations, 2 pp., 4to, n.p., annotated by JFK at the upper margin, slightly toned, very small tear to top edges of pages, small creases to corners.

First US edition, first impression; 8vo (22 x 15 cm); presentation copy, signed on the title page, 'V.S. Naipual for Al Murray', cartographic endpapers, top edge stained; original burgundy cloth, author's initials blind stamped to upper board, title and floral detail gilt stamped to spine, slightly rubbed, with the dust jacket in a later state, a good copy.

Depicting Churchill in uniform (4th Queen's Own Hussars), head and shoulders, vintage silverprint, signed on mount 'Winston S. Churchill 14 June 1918', 280 x 320mm (11 by 12½ inches), framed and glazed 480 x 410mm (19 by 16¼ inches), evenly age toned, otherwise very good.

First edition, inscribed by Queen Mary [consort of King George V] 'To Lord Cowdray from Mary R. Sept: 1924. ' on front free endpaper; 8vo; a few minor, random spots; publisher's red cloth gilt, a little rubbed at extremities, spine slightly faded, otherwise a very good copy with an excellent provenance; x, 351 (blank), 32pp.
