Russian & Eastern European

Our Russian and Eastern European section gathers Western books on these regions (‘Rossica’ among others) as well as works in vernacular, including Russian and Polish. Other rare items related to Russia and Eastern Europe can be found in our map department, our photography section, as well as in the prints section. Contemporary beige cloth, gilt double-eagle crest and gilt lettering to upper cover, white moire endpapers; darkened, one hinge slightly starting.

Contemporary red calf over marbled boards, spine with raised bands richly gilt, bookmarks; very lightly rubbed.

Original red morocco-backed cloth bound by Engel, richly gilt and tooled by Paul Souze after a design by A. Giraldon, all edges gilt, marbled endpapers, blue silk bookmark.
