An acrostic by chapter, Heaney works his way through the ten letters that constitute his subject's name. A touching and eloquent tribute to a truly great dramatist. 400 copies were issued in the green linen case of which 300 were for sale. The colophon calls for these to have been signed by Heaney. This copy is unsigned at the limitation BUT bears his signed presentation inscription to the title page, 'for Mary - blessings - Seamus'. With a further inscription to the half title leaf by the publisher Peter Fallon and with an autograph covering letter from him sending this book.
