Lovely example of this uncommon and very detailed map of Sebastopol, complete with the original linen untrimmed around the map. The map extends from the River Katcha' in the north to Balaclava in the south, and eastwards from the coast to Inkerman. The terrain is shown in detail, along with troop positions and the siege trenches and fortifications erected by the opposing armies.

The present copy of the 'sixth edition' seems to be a rare state, published before the version usually found which includes an inset showing Eupatoria on Feb. 17th - not printed here. It contains however the list of Wyld's other maps that might be of relevance to the war.
